The Army Navy & Air Force Club Jam was still going strong in 2007 and I met some of my best jamming partners there. It was there that I got in the habit of playing music at the doors to, sorta, play the musicians in. Later I would do this at the Sprucewoods Jams as well. I remember arriving at the jam with two guitars, a guitar stand and a mandolin under my arms. I very nearly dropped them all, several times, due to their extreme weight. Well, I was excited to say the least.

Those jams where a big thing for me. right here in my home town, and who knew who’d be there? That all seems like a very long time ago now, but these photographs bring back all the memories and excitement as if it was only yesterday. I would like to thank Jack Lewis, as I have in the past, for most of these pictures. Some are very blurry but they all reveal the emotions linked to these event. These images where scanned from the Westman Jams Photo Album #4.

In my early year at the jams I used to be quite excited about the whole idea of a public jam for everybody and I remember creating posters to advertise and promote them. I guess I’m still trying to promote the Westman Jams but back then I created these hilarious posters that were supposed to catch your eye and trick you into reading them, all the way through, with humor. Here are a few examples of these posters as they pertained to this jam.
